WORK is due to start this month on improvements to a stretch of Parkland Walk.
The work includes improvements to drainage, path repairs in muddy and rough areas, and better signs in the stretch of the walk between Highgate and Finsbury Park.
Councillor Brian Haley, Haringey Council’s cabinet member for environment and conservation, said: “We have consulted very thoroughly on these improvement plans and I would like to thank everyone who responded for their many constructive and helpful comments.”
If you would like to lend a helping hand to maintain the Parkland Walk, the Haringey branch of volunteer conservation group BTCV is working there on Tuesday. New volunteers are always welcome to help tidy up and improve the nature trail, and next week they will be helping to keep three open spaces along the route clear, to encourage other plants and wildlife.
