MAN CHARGED OVER SHOOTING

A man has been charged with three counts of attempted murder of police officers and possession of a firearm.
Carlton Sam, 22, from Hackney, appeared at Thames magistrates’ court on Monday.
He was remanded in custody in Brixton prison. His trial is scheduled to start at the Old Bailey on June 16.
The charges follow an incident in Myddleton Avenue, Finsbury Park, at 2.30pm on Friday.
Four police officers approached two men for questioning and one of the men fired shots at them.
None of the officers was injured.
