Travelodge announces expansion with £70m investment
Budget hotel chain Travelodge has announced plans to invest £70m in acquiring and refurbishing hotels, adding 669 new rooms to the company’s portfolio, and creating over 125 jobs.
The move is a plan to cash in on the increase in the budget hotel trade, as more people seek to lower the cost of travel during the credit crunch.
The hotel chain will also inject £34.5m into five of its existing sites in London Finsbury Park, Porthmadog, Gloucester, Caernarfon and Egham.
